Human Rights series "Freedom"

"Angel of Sunset"

is the second piece, from the Freedom series.

A woman, touches the essence of her inner angel, whilst sitting out in the desert on sunset, in the Australian wilderness. The freedom is expressed through the orange sunset butterflies, released from her mind, heart and soul union, of being free.

"Freedom" is the first painting from the Freedom series.
This piece is in the Human Rights Exhibition at 104 Greenhill Road, Unley South Australia, until January 10th 2010.
This is of a woman who has a physical disability and hearing impairment. Her wish was to visit the Australian desert, but due to her physical disability this was not possible, until one day, her wish was granted and she went out into the desert. The flower of peace and creativity she holds in her hand, her voice becomes free for all to hear and the sky blue butterflies rise towards the day filled with sky. Freedom is felt from within her whole being. Acrylic on Canvas

Sweet Surrender

Revolving wooden spoon
Sweet surrender sugar
as full as the moon
becons white bliss
to pardon a beggar
milk, like a baby's kiss
heat warming
all the time melting
cocoa butter devouring
dash of Earth's salt, dissolving
directly pouring
magical cream into
moulds to shape
while you patiently wait
or over cake freshly baked
snow dressing dribbled
ready now to be tasted
sensational heaven all for you.

Moon Writing

This is from "Let it Out" series of writing.

Pen is to paper, as paper is to trees, infinitely grateful.

I put my pen on the paper and continue to write without taking pen off until there is no paper left to write on....

What it Means to Me

Pulling the strap tightly
the zip is now closed
as everything I need I've
touched lightly
and lovingly placed it inside.

Shoes firmly done up
jeans secure around my hips
no time on me
watch is left behind
along with all the
unnecessary clutter that
attached to me from birth.

Concrete solid grey as
far as the eye can see
will always be
for my footsteps move
on after the other.
Over the shoulder my head turns
one last look of a reality
that once was.

Forward thinking
my mind is ahead
wondering of places going
with a free spirited
soul to guide and protect.

Mystery of life
around each corner
for now in this moment
my head is held high
all I see is sky
and the smell of jasmine
on this summer day.
